History
A 61 year old male presented with large left pleural effusion. 70 ml. cloudy dark yellow fluid was submitted for cytological analysis.

Cytologic Findings
The specimen reveals large pleomorphic and hyperchromatic cells with very prominent nucleoloi, frequent binucleation, and intranuclear inclusions.

Diagnosis/Discussion

Immunohistochemistry evaluation was performed on cell block material and showed that the atypical cells were positive for S100 and vimentin. HMB 45 and cytokeratin were negative in atypical cells. The cytological diagnosis was made as positive for Malignant Melanoma.
